Certificate of Cosmetologist (CC)
Earning a cosmetology certificate is the first step toward the career you've dreamed of. Individuals with a cosmetology certificate can choose to work in a number of different settings, such as beauty salons, barber shops, or their own private practices. Cosmetology certificate program teaches skills need in order to start and maintain a successful cosmetology career. Basic beauty techniques including hair care, manicure and facials through a combination of lecture and hands-on laboratory experience. These techniques can be applied to a career in any one of many specialty areas including working as a hair dresser or manicurist in a salon or spa. Certified individuals may also choose to start their own private practices, with the freedom to set their own hours and fees.
In order to become eligible for graduation, who seeking a cosmetology certificate must show thorough understanding of skills they will use in dealing with the day-to-day challenges of a career in cosmetology. In addition to demonstrating proficiency in basic beautician duties, they must master the following skills:

Antisepsis and safety requirements
Principles of chemistry
